ReflectQ is committed to protecting the privacy of it’s users and providing transparency in how data collected is to be used. If any of this privacy policy is unclear please request more information via the contact us form found within the top right menu of our website.
Types of data ReflectQ collects:
ReflectQ collects two main types of data:
- Survey responses:
- Answers – answers to specific questions volunteered as part of ReflectQ questionnaires including the responses and times in which responses take place
- Cookies and IP addresses for analysis purposes – please see our “Collection of IP addresses and cookies with surveys” section below for more information on how these are used by ReflectQ
- Email addresses – voluntary sign ups to receive newsletters and survey invitations. Please see our “Collection of email addresses” section below for more information on how these are used
Collection of IP addresses and cookies within surveys:
ReflectQ clearly states at the beginning of each survey that it uses IP addresses and cookies for analysis purposes. This includes:*
- Restricting the volume of responses to surveys per respondent or understanding the most recent response
- Understanding the link between respondents from within the same “household”
- Assessing the volume of responses per respondent or “household”
- Linking responses to different surveys together to assess inter-survey relationships
- Users agree to these terms when responding to any of our surveys.
Temporary use of cookies while using our website:
A popup is implemented on the ReflectQ website clearly stating that continued use is assumed permission to monitor cookies. Temporary use of cookies is for the purpose of:
- Improving the service we provide to users
- Ad revenue may be sought by ReflectQ which is likely to make use of cookies for marketing purposes including ad targeting.
- We also use cookies for tracking of website performance and traffic via Google Analytics.
- This type of cookie data is not retained
Collection of email addresses:
ReflectQ clearly states at each location where email addresses are collected the intended purpose. There are two main types of email collection used by ReflectQ. They are:
- Providing feedback or suggestions – in this scenario, users have voluntarily contacted ReflectQ via our contact forms. In this case, users are asked to provide permission by an optional tickbox as to whether they agree to sign up to our newsletter.
- Providing email address at the end of a survey – in this scenario, users are voluntarily provided their email address via the last question of a survey. In this case, it is clearly stated that providing email addresses implies permission to be contacted by us for our newsletter and subsequent survey participation invitations.
- In both cases above, ReflectQ assumes permission to send emails regarding insights as well as invitations to participate in our surveys. We will not use the email addresses collected for explicit marketing purposes nor will it be provided to any third parties in any way. Users can elect to unsubscribe from our lists at any time and are provided links within each email correspondence to do so.
Collection of Survey Responses:
The objective of ReflectQ is not to collect user’s personal information for the purpose of on-selling to third parties. Our aim to providing trends and insights derived from aggregated views of the data that we collect.
Survey responses are collected and stored primarily for analysis purposes.
- These responses are depersonalised and aggregated before providing insights via our blog.
- Personalised data will be stored for analysis purposes only. This includes the linking of responses across surveys or between respondents. This personalised information will not be shared with any third parties.
- However, ReflectQ may use depersonalised responses for providing insights to third parties. Depersonalised responses are those where email addresses, IP addresses and cookies are removed from records.
- Personalised data including email addresses, IP addresses and cookies will only be provided to third parties if required by law
